For the first edition, Alliance française will open with an exhibition called Μετά which will showcase the works of the artist Prasad KV. He is doing his Master of Visual Art in Painting from College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath. In 2014, he received a scholarship from Sameeksha Art Foundation Scholarship, Bengaluru.

“Black & white, using charcoal or pencil, multicolour, using pen, pastel or acrylic, he masters the scale of his works with an eye to detail. He is a city animal and creates on paper urban landscapes with sharpness and precision. He translates his mundane observations of his close environment into a form of narrative criticism of the society.” – Franck Barthélémy

Opening night on 22nd April.

YTP logoThe Young Talent Program is a new project of the Alliance française that aims to promote the local visual artists of Bangalore through a unique platform that will showcase 6 to 8 exhibitions each year of some of the most promising young artists. Curated by Franck Barthélémy and Balan Nambiar, the program intends to push and support the career of the selected artists and to diffuse more widely their work by giving them a field and a place to express their art.
