Documentary – In 2005, choreographer Angelin Preljocaj heads to Cologne in Karlheinz Stockhausen’s studios. The composer wants him to listen to his latest piece, Sonntags Abschied, and wishes to entrust it to him. The choreographer accepts this 2nd incursion in the work of the German composer, who was also the inspiration for Helikopter in 2001. Sonntags Abschied is the creation of a very religious man. Designed for five synthesizers, the orchestra, in a complex alchemy of sounds at different tempos, multiple palpitations of the universe, this mystical partition inspires in the choreographer the idea of a paradise lost.
