Library membership is free for students enrolled in a French course at Alliance Française de Bangalore.
If you would simply like to read in the library, you are welcome to visit free of charge (no membership required).
To borrow books and media, you can subscribe to the library by filling out the membership form. Please bring two passport-size photographs when registering.

Looking to connect with a community and improve your skills en français?
We host a variety of workshops, activities, and games for French learners.
From philosophy discussions in English to community poetry sessions, our library is a welcoming space to meet people, exchange ideas, and grow together.
(Most events are free, open to all, and conducted in both English and French.)
Culturethèque e-Library
Accessible anytime from your computer, tablet, or smartphone, Culturethèque gives you unlimited access to a rich world of French culture and learning. Read the latest magazines, discover e-books and comics, watch concerts and performances, listen to lectures and podcasts, explore children’s content, and benefit from a wide range of language-learning resources designed for all levels.
A vast digital collection featuring over 400 magazines, 1,000 books, 200 comics, 450 videos, and 370 educational resources.
How to register ?
Culturethèque is a free digital library service for all Alliance Française students and members.
To access it, register at your nearest Alliance Française library and create your account on www.culturetheque.com by clicking on “Connexion” and then “S’inscrire.”
You will receive 3 weeks of free access. To extend your access until the end of your library membership, simply share your Culturethèque user ID and library card number with your librarian.
