“Anu…”

is an original scripted children’s musical written by Ketki Herlekar, with story by Tanisha Herbert, and direction by vocal coach Tanisha Herbert and Neecia Majolly of the Majolly Music Trust.

Featuring ‘Girls Only’ (all girls’ choir of the Trust directed by Tanisha), the protagonist Anu, a 15 year old, comes home complaining about a school assignment in which she and her friends need to help rag picker children over the next few days. As a privileged and spoilt child, she complains about having to do this assignment before she goes to sleep that night. She wakes up to find herself among a group of rag pickers controlled by the evil Matron Aunty.

‘A change of heart, a lifestyle lived and many lessons learnt… all in a night’s time! Journey with Anu as she makes her way through a world completely alien to her and comes back all the wiser! Enjoy a variety of foot-tapping Broadway favourites along the way as we bring to you“Anu…”
