Born in 1972, violinist Frédéric Pelassy is considered one of the most prominent French musicians of his generation. Picked out at an early age by Yehudi Menuhin, he has recorded twenty five CDs to date and given some thousand concerts on the five continents, traveling extensively in Europe, the US, Canada, Japan, China, Central and Latin America.
This is the second time he will be in India, with a program honoring the best compositions for solo violin: deep chords by Bach, virtuosic effects by Paganini mingled with some contemporary pieces and colorful pages by French composers such as Jules Massenet, Darius Milhaud, Jacques Ibert.
