The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week is a high-profile, multi-city, multi-activity annual event organized by the Embassy of Sweden in India in cooperation with partner companies. The week is instituted in memory of Swedish innovator, entrepreneur & philanthropist Alfred Nobel and celebrates the Indian Nobel Laureates as well.

The theme for the fifth edition of The Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Week is Innovation & Creativity and will take place across New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune & Mumbai between 15th and 22nd October.

Mats Carlsson, Tenor

Mats Carlsson made his debut in “Hippolythe et Aricie” 2005 and has since then sung roles such as Romeo, The Duke, Pinkerton, Don José, Alfredo, Tamino and Enzo Grimaldo.

Mats is a sought for recital singer with a wide repertoire. He regularly sings with all major orchestras in Sweden. He also appears in opera concerts in Sweden, Japan and USA.

Michael Engström, Pianist

During the 90’s he held a position as music-producer at the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation, but now works as a pianist and repetiteur on a free-lance basis. He works regularly with the Swedish Radio choir and Eric Ericson’s Chamber choir and is currently attached to the University College of Opera in Stockholm.
