Bonjour India 2013 presents Electronic Music by SCRATCH BANDITS CREW

Sunday 10 February

IIM Bangalore

6.45 pm – 8.00 pm

“A new approach to electronic music”

Scratch Bandits Crew is another approach to scratch music played by Supa-Jay, Geoffresh and Syr, three pirates who love hip-hop.They play with voices, be it soul, hip-hop, funk, and mix these to create surrealist collages that tell stories with holes.

Scratch Bandits Crew combine analog and digital, acoustic and electronic music in a unique signature style. They also develop their personal scratching tools: new devices, such as scratch-guitar and darbuka lamp, or the lunar scratch, a unique prototype of ‘scratch controlled instrument’.

All these new electronic string instruments turn their concerts into extraordinary hybrid and mutant shows.

Their latest album ‘November 31’, reflects the trio. The album is rich and powerful, full of references to hip hop, electronic music, jazz and soul.
