Alliance Francaise de Bangalore” in association with “Katputhliyaan” a renowned theatre group, is presenting an acclaimed play ” Jiss Ne Lahore Nai Dekhya” of renowned playwright Asghar Wajahat. The play portrays soul stirring account of partition where an elderly Hindu lady refuses to vacate her Haveli & leave Pakistan after the authorities seized her property and allotted to a Muslim family. The old lady couldn’t reconcile with the effects of Partition and vacating her house. She chooses to live in her house with the new family imposed on her. The play portrays the travails of her living in her own house as an alien after the partition. During this struggle of Cohabitation she develops a strong bond with the family members to whom the authorities had allotted her haveli to. She eventually becomes a part of the family. The Play amazingly brings out a play of intense human emotions in the backdrop of strong religious sentiments. The Play is Directed by an acclaimed Theatre Personality, Zafer Mohiuddin who is the President of Alliance Francaise de Bangalore. The Play is Presented at Chiranjiv Singh Auditorium of Alliance Francaise de Bangalore on two days on the following Days:
