The Times of India in collaboration with New India Foundation organize the New India Foundation Lecture every year in Bangalore and invite renowned, eminent subject matter experts (like economists/scientists) to deliver an engaging lecture for the benefit of a larger audience that has a special interest in the specific subject. Each NIF Lecture is delivered to a packed house of enthusiasts.

In 2016, Mr. Arvind Subramanian, Chief Economic Advisor to Government of India delivered the 10th New India Foundation Lecture on ‘What Economists can learn from literature’.

This year, Mr. Esther Duflo, Professor of Poverty Alleviation & Development Economics, MIT is delivering a lecture titled ‘Every child counts: How to fix primary education in India’ on 26th October 2017 at Alliance de Francaise de Bangalore (6:30 p.m.). The lecture is open to general public.
