EXHIBITION: Treasures from the Rainbow’s End

All day | 26th – 27th of September | Alliance Française Atrium

In September, the works of artist Nilofer Ibrahim Kazim will be showcased with her series titled “Rainbow’s End”, a series of paintings that explore the colours that explode in nature.

Nilofer Ibrahim was born in 1976 in Mangalore. She is a qualified math teacher and has worked in over 6 international schools in India, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan. Blessed with an artistic bent, she discovered art and painting in her student years. She learnt various art skills and genres from her acquaintances along the way. Nilofer is a self-taught artist who has made numerous murals with themes for institutions and individuals.

Nilofer’s works transports one to a realm where colour and design merge to create designs that transcend time and space. The paintings effortlessly weave intricate patterns that touch the viewers’ heart and mind. Her paintings explore positive spaces that one may unconsciously miss in one’s mundane, everyday existence. She presents a reality that brings together a message of oneness and union in a world of opposites. The intricate designs and the weaving of colours explores a tapestry that speaks of unity and connections in life. The viewer gets the impression that no pattern can exist in isolation. Each one has an existence only to the extent that it is supported by other patterns echoing the patterns of the web of life where none can exist in isolation and none has meaning until it is linked and supported by the varied threads that make up the entire design of life.
