‘attendance’, the yearbook of Indian dance, now in its 13 years, presents rare, unknown aspects of Indian dance history and heritage. Each year, a main topic is platformed and this year it is ‘Couples who dance’!
10 nationally known dancing couples are featured in this issue
(www.attendance-india.com) and 3 of Bangalores best – The Shridhars and the Kirans will be featured on 23 as part of Dance DISCourse series.
The idea is to share with audience the process of creative and personal partnership. What are the travails and joys; what are the professional limitations and challenges. Each Dancing Couple will also talk and intercat with a panel and with audiences.Additionally, youngsters like Hari-Chetna doing Kathak will be featured
The panel will comprise of critic Jyothi Raghuram; scholar Surya Prasad and editor-publisher of attendance, Ashish Khokar, the doer of this series.
